Niue Rugby

Niue, a small island in the Pacific, has quite a good team for such a small island in the middle of the ocean. They got into the final of the Pacific Cup and won against New Caledonia 27-5 on the 30th of August 2008. When they played against South Africa, they won 48-4.

 Last Sunday at Oxford Wheels Project 2 Skate teams came: Santa Cruz and Creature UK.  They did great tricks I never seen before.  My mum took great pictures.

Kwajalein atoll



                                                           Kwajalein
Kwajalein Atoll is the biggest atoll in the Pacific and it's part of the Marshall Islands. Kwajalein is one of the world's largest coral atolls. There are only 1000 English Speaking people out of 13,500 people. It has an area of 3900 sq km but only 16 sq km is land. It has an American army base. It has an outdoor cinema, schools, lots of shops, and a swimming pool.

      Since my last post was about planes I decided to write another post about planes.
      Which is the largest plane on Earth? It's the Airbus 380
      What is its capacity? The maximum is 519 people.
      How fast can it go? It can go up to 945 km/h, 587mph at cruise altitude 1020 km/h, 634mph.
      But it doesn't Fly to remote islands.

Now I am in La Laguna in the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands.
On Wednesday I went to camp, but my parents went on a plane ride around the island, on a small plane.

On Friday I went to Alcala de Henares (in Spain) archeology museum. I saw a lot of Greek         sculptures, pottery and Roman  mosaics. Here are some pictures I took:

Solar eclipse in a remote island




            Solar eclipse in a remote island
     On March 20 2015 there is going to be a solar eclipse. One of the few places you can see the total eclipse is Faroe Islands.


Two astronomers asked people in the Faroe islands to take pictures during the month of March 2014 at 9:40 in the morning. The idea was to track the cloud coverage in preparation for the eclipse.

Yesterday I adopted a penguin from Deception Island. There is a Spanish base and they are doing research at the moment.
They sent me a certificate.
